The Amazon distribution center in Etna Township in Licking County has only been in operation since September, but many parts of the massive facility already have that nicely broken-in feel.
Paint is wearing down on the metal swinging doors leading from the break room to the work floor, and scuff marks dot stairways where employees scamper to their stations.
It’s just another indication of how much work is done at the center east of Columbus, where 2,500 work, part of a growing central Ohio work force that now tops 4,600 when another center in Obetz and three Amazon data centers are included.
