The City of Dublin will welcome thousands of golf fans to the city this week for the annual Memorial Tournament.
Tournament officials do not share the number of tickets sold, but tens of thousands of fans are expected to attend the event, and even more people are expected to take part in festivities around the city.
The tournament brings in at least $35 million to the city, according to a study done by the tournament several years ago, but the event and its impact continues to grow, according to City of Dublin Economic Director Jeremiah Gracia.
“This event is second to none. (It) puts us on a global stage every year, and we understand all the energy, enthusiasm and impact the tournament has brought to us for the last 50 years,” Gracia said.
