Topping the list of new Dublin infrastructure projects set to begin in 2022 is the reimagined interchange at U.S. Route 33/state Route 161 and Post Road. This $34 million project will be helmed by the Ohio Department of Transportation with support from Union County, the City of Dublin, the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission and private development.
Other projects planned for 2022 include the extension of Franklin Street in downtown Dublin, shared-use path connections on Riverside Drive, Bright Road, and Frantz Road, and improvements to the Dublin Spring Park and Kiwanis Riverway Park. Playground replacements will also occur at Post Preserve, Amberleigh Community Park and Park Place Park.
In addition, a review of the parks and recreation master plan, last adopted in 2010, will look to reassess and evaluate the needs of residents and businesses as the city works to best serve the community today and well into the future.
