The City of Dublin is ramping up its efforts to redevelop Metro Center, outlining a plan for the large suburban office park that calls for new mixed-use buildings and a central greenspace.
Work on the plan, which was presented to the community in early October as part of the city’s larger 2024 Economic Development Strategy, has been ongoing for several years.
Similar to the process that was undertaken over a decade ago for Bridge Park, Dublin hopes to jumpstart development by committing to new infrastructure and recreational amenities while outlining an overall vision that private developers can then help to implement.
While Bridge Park took a retail strip mall and turned it into a dense urban development that now functions as a town center for the suburb, Dublin officials have said that the new Metro Center would have its own identity.
