Dublin City Council Approves Economic Development Agreement to Relocate Growing Staffing Firm to Dublin

 • October 18, 2022

(Dublin, OH) Dublin City Council has approved an economic development agreement with Vernovis, LTD, a locally owned and operated staffing and solutions firm that supports companies in technology, accounting and finance.

Vernovis helps companies at all stages of growth, complete critical business initiatives in the areas of technology, cybersecurity, accounting and finance. Founded and headquartered in Ohio and serving the Midwest, Vernovis works closely with CEOs, CFOs, CIOs and HR leaders to complete mission-critical projects on time and on budget. Vernovis is considering leasing a 5,000-7,000 SF facility in the City of Dublin.

The project would result in the relocation of 18 existing jobs, with 17 in Dublin and one remote. In addition, Vernovis expects to create 15 new employee positions for a total of 32 employees based within the City by Dec. 31, 2025. The Economic Development Agreement is a three-year payroll performance withholding incentive of up to $26,000.
“Vernovis’ ties to technology, accounting and finance make it an ideal Dublin-based organization as those are all dynamic industries within the City,” says Economic Development Administrator Jenna Goehring. “We’re excited about their decision to relocate to Dublin and eager to support their continued growth as they invest in their business here in our city.”
The performance incentive is contingent upon the company providing documentation of an executed five-year lease of a facility within Dublin commencing by Jan. 31, 2023, receiving an occupancy permit and occupying the facility by March 31, 2023. The City is also proposing a $10,000 location grant to offset moving and fit-up costs. The City anticipates collecting approximately $163,400 in net withholdings through 2025.

Council approved the EDA after a second reading at its meeting on Oct. 10, 2022.
