To clarify, Franklin County’s largest suburb is out of the “shovel ready” acreage that attracts businesses such as Vadata and the Ohio University medical campus that have set up shop and offer high-paying jobs.
Shovel ready in developer-speak means open land, usually farmland.
The Dublin City Council on Monday approved spending $2 million to buy 23.75 acres from Nationwide Insurance at the northwestern corner of Frantz and Rings roads. That will help revitalize the Frantz Road office corridor for future development.
