The City of Dublin’s Economic Development Division has again been recognized as one of 85 economic development organizations accredited by the International Economic Development Council (IEDC) as an Accredited Economic Development Organization (AEDO). Dublin’s Economic Development Division is the only AEDO-accredited organization in Ohio.
The AEDO program is a comprehensive peer review process that measures economic development organizations against the highest standards in the profession. The program consists of two phases: an organizational and budget documentation review and a two-day onsite visit. Each phase is designed to evaluate information about the structure, organization, funding, program and staff of the economic development organization.
“As a city, we are committed to helping our Dublin-based businesses thrive and welcoming those organizations that want to call Dublin home,” says Director of Economic Development Jeremiah Gracia. “Earning the AEDO accreditation tells the community and prospective companies that the City has attained the highest measure of excellence for economic development and their business is in good hands.”
“The City of Dublin displays the professionalism, commitment and technical expertise that is deserving of this honor,” said IEDC President and CEO Nathan Ohle.
Maintenance of the AEDO status is required every three years and is accomplished through documentation submission and/or onsite visits by a team of the AEDO subcommittee.
