Dublin Community Improvement Corporation (Dublin CIC)

The Dublin Community Improvement Corporation (Dublin CIC) was established to advance, encourage and promote the industrial, commercial and civic development of the City of Dublin.

A CIC is a non-profit organization that is permissible under Chapter 1724 of the Ohio Revised Code (ORC). These corporations are typically used to borrow funds, acquire property and serve as an agent in applying for grants.

As part of the City’s 2015 bond issue, which included $32 million of non-tax revenue bonds for the two parking structures within Bridge Park, the City was required to establish a CIC (Resolution 62-15). This was due to state statute which required any non-tax revenue bonds to be approved by the City’s designated CIC.

The ORC requires an annual meeting of the CIC, and as such the Dublin CIC has been meeting annually since its creation in 2015.

The Dublin CIC’s Strategic Plan will help the Dublin CIC facilitate the implementation of the City’s economic development strategic plan and City Council goals, as well as maximizing the City’s competitiveness within Ohio and provide new tools and resources to support future development initiatives.

Community Façade Program

The Commercial Façade Improvement Program encourages private investment in property renovations and overall building improvements that enhance the quality and character of Historic Dublin. The program shares the costs of improving commercial building exteriors and publicly used amenities that will enhance the vibrancy of the Historic District. The Dublin CIC provides matching grants to property owners or tenants who would otherwise be unable to make these improvements without financial assistance.
